# Merchant accounts configuration

## What the Screen Is For

Maintain merchant destinations, processor references and the GL account used for their receipts.

## What It Shows and Lets People Do

The side panel records the merchant account’s descriptive setup and processor account reference. Availability and deletion use the shared list actions. The displayed processing status remains Not Connected; the form does not connect a processor or collect credentials. Reconciliation’s settlement settings are preserved by an ordinary Books save.

## States and Errors

An existing record’s unit and currency controls are locked in the console. Naming a processor account requires selecting a processor. The selected GL destination belongs to the same unit. Permission checks govern each action, and restricting references can refuse deletion.
