# Stream Workspace Accounting Export Parts

## What It Does

Accounting exports declared datasets one part at a time. The books dataset combines customer configuration with its owned collections, while Products and batch settings have separate datasets. Each successful call reports a cursor and staged part, and a secret scan rejects recognized processor-secret patterns.

## The Flow

## When Something Fails

Export does not modify Accounting records. Request and dataset validation precede normal streaming. The deployed bucket check rejects mismatch and blocks an empty configuration, while the undefined hook permits local testing. The writer abandons failed parts, including secret-bearing parts. Retrying reaches the same staging location, but a creation cut-off does not freeze values or guarantee byte-identical parts after configuration changes.

## Open Design Questions

Product needs to understand that this export is a bounded traversal rather than an immutable snapshot. Maintenance registers the configuration participant, while record owners also hold dataset and reader declarations.
