Each binding identifies the assertions this suite executes; combined scenarios

      - the reopen job (integration)
      - 'the latest closed period, its close having recognised revenue'
      - 'ends the reopen succeeded, naming the close it reverses'
      - opens the period and counts the reopen
      - 'reverses what the close recognised, by the close’s event key'
      - completes its three steps
      - records the reason in the job’s events
      - keeps the close’s snapshot
      - a close that recognised no revenue
      - 'skips the reversal, saying why'
      - ends the reopen succeeded
      - refuses reopening the period again once it is open
      - an earlier period and a short reason
      - 'refuses reopening August while September is closed, with 1.0’s sentence'
      - >-
refuses a reason under ten characters in the job’s lock, the period left
        closed
      - a reopen failing after its lock
      - 'fails the run on reverseRevenue, retryable'
      - leaves the period reopening
      - finishes the reopen on retry

  - >-

    retention, not actual ledger entries.
real_dependencies: >-

persistence. Recording or failing recognition ports and a fixed clock supply
  controlled reversal and retry cases.

# Reopen execution and recovery

## Verification Boundary

The suite checks its declared service or persistence boundary against local PostgreSQL. Bindings identify the assertions it contributes to a capability case; they do not establish every assertion in a combined case.

## What This Suite Proves

The job suite restores an eligible month, preserves its earlier snapshot, retains failed reversal for retry and rejects invalid sequence and reason length. Recording financial ports establish orchestration rather than ledger reversal.

## What It Does Not Prove

Financial port stand-ins in selected cases prove orchestration and output retention, not actual ledger entries.

## Real Dependencies and Test Doubles

The in-process runner executes request and reopen tasks against real persistence. Recording or failing recognition ports and a fixed clock supply controlled reversal and retry cases.

## Must Not Be Doubled

Keep production queries, writes, mappings, application-role privileges and database constraints real wherever they are the subject of an assertion. Recording financial ports establish invocation behavior; actual recognition and reversal require the suite using the real posting service.
