# Receiving Payments: Feature Acceptance Suite

## What the Feature Must Do as a Whole

Staff can record outside receipts or collect through a processor, place money on the intended debt and explain any remainder. Settlement and combined remittance retain their component records as collection crosses customer and credit boundaries.

## Interactions Between Capabilities

Processor recovery determines when reserved settlement credit can reach invoice debt. Remittance creates separate customer receipts, so later reuse changes whether the complete group can be voided.

## Regression Record

Revision one establishes the initial cumulative suite. Later changes revisit dependent scenarios, and retired scenarios retain their identities and reasons.
