alternatives:
  - option: Always land on the new workspace home
why_not: Home entry interrupts a person continuing the same resource work.
  - option: 'Keep the full address, records included'
why_not: Record values can identify unrelated data after a workspace change.
consequences:
  - >-
A switch preserves the resource context where a destination can be
    identified.
  - Unmatched planned paths remain in the new workspace address.
  - The current toast does not wait for confirmed entry.

# Workspace Switching Retains Resource Context

## Context

People often switch organizations to perform the same task, but record identities belong to their original workspace.

## Decision

Build the new address from the current area and list, discard record identities and the query, then install the strict entry answer with cache clearing and subtree remounting.

## Alternatives Considered

Always using Home loses task context. Carrying the whole record address could request an unrelated record in the new workspace.

## Consequences

The person retains a recognizable work area. Planned paths remain intact. Confirmation currently occurs before entry succeeds and needs a settled timing policy.
