assertion_inventory:
  - the fields an invalid value’s rejection names
  - an e-mail address the contact’s own rules refuse
  - 'is that item’s invalid value, at the path of the address the rule refused'
  - keeps the rule’s sentence as the message
  - a line the contact import’s validation refuses for two fields
  - 'names both fields, each once'
  - a refusal that names an element by its position in brackets
  - 'names it as the API does, by a dotted position'
  - a whole-record refusal of a collection
  - 'names the collection, which is the field the rule refused'
  - a refusal that names no field
  - carries no field paths rather than a guess
  - carries none for a refusal of the request rather than of a field

# Invalid value field paths

## Verification Boundary

The suite checks an isolated production calculation, declaration or adapter. The structured assertion inventory records the checks present at the pinned revision.

## What This Suite Proves

The existing checks exercise invalid value field paths. The specification bindings identify the narrower outcomes supported by those assertions.

## What It Does Not Prove

An isolated check does not establish a deployed workflow, database enforcement or complete feature acceptance.

## Real Dependencies and Test Doubles

The production function or declaration is exercised with in-memory inputs and dependency doubles. This boundary does not require a live database.

## Must Not Be Doubled

The production function under examination and its returned decisions remain real; replacing their answers defeats the check.
