# A money call that cannot finish in budget is stopped

## Context

The caller’s financial outcome must remain compatible with the response it receives.

## Decision

For sensitive work, stop when required retries cannot fit the caller’s budget. Save failure, release the caller-key claim and leave no background attempt queued.

## Alternatives Considered

Continue financial work asynchronously after budget expiry. The application could report failure before an unexpected successful payment.

## Consequences

The caller can deliberately submit the released key again.

Work outside the sensitive policy can continue asynchronously.
