# Policies list

## What the Screen Is For

Browse visible policies and perform permitted custom-definition actions.

## What It Shows and Lets People Do

Policy-reading authority admits the table; management authority offers creation, duplication and custom-policy archive. The component uses the standard-width layout wrapper.

## States and Errors

Built-ins are read-only and can be copied. A policy still used by a role cannot be archived; the refusal provides the use information. Search/filter, loading and empty states follow the list component.

The state rows describe observed loading, empty, refusal or inactive handling where present. Linked validation rules belong to the planning layer; client feedback and authoritative service checks have distinct responsibilities.

## Patterns It Must Respect

The pattern list names the built shared components and interaction patterns checked for this screen. This contract describes the existing screen; it supplies no replacement visual design.
