# Examination of workspace lifecycle planning

This examination checks the draft against the eight pinned repositories and rewrites its reader-facing text with OpenAI. Product approval remains Andrew’s decision; observed behavior does not establish product intent. Sources and test bindings were inspected as code evidence, while service integration and end-to-end suites were not executed.

## Counts and method

The examination covers 52 planning artifacts: 18 capabilities, 18 acceptance test sets, five concepts, six features and five journeys. The final layer contains 159 rules, 27 capability scenarios, 36 journey steps, 17 journey assertions and 135 acceptance scenarios. The module overview, findings, identifier registry and four newly added actor rows also receive final wording. All eight source commits match the supplied pins.

The initial reference inventory contains 664 distinct source, origin, intent-source and test-binding references. A concrete-reference audit checks 91 distinct files and finds no missing cited file, symbol or literal test title. After corrections, the same reference audit checks 96 concrete files and again finds no missing cited file, symbol or literal test title. Approved records support confirmed intent; code-only observations remain proposed. Enforcement claims are checked against registered routes, lifecycle services, table constraints and guarded database functions; console enforcement remains outside the available source scope.

## Coverage

Ratios below describe links from source declarations to the specification, rather than passing runtime results. The module’s frontmatter coverage catalog names each covered operation, table, permission and execution resource.

| Inventory | Covered / total | Specification home or open gap |
|---|---|---|
| Lifecycle HTTP operations | 17 / 17 | Capability catalog in module frontmatter |
| Other HTTP declarations in the same route files | 0 / 17 here | Workspace administration boundary; listed below |
| Lifecycle protocol operation names | 8 / 8 | CAP-PFM-TNL-002, 007, 009, 010, 012, 017 |
| Lifecycle table definitions | 20 / 20 | Module table catalog; includes three application seed ledgers |
| Lifecycle permission keys | 10 / 10 | Module permission catalog |
| Lifecycle state machines | 4 / 4 | Provisioning, deletion waiting, purge and reset capabilities |
| Ancillary execution and operational resource groups | 11 / 11 | Module execution catalog; grouped resources are not individual deployment counts |
| Module test files with acceptance bindings | 65 / 129 | FND-PFM-TNL-033; all unbound paths below |
| Console pages and enforcement | unmeasured | FND-PFM-TNL-020; OQ-PFM-TNL-001 |

The seventeen delegated route declarations are getTenant, listTenants, updateTenant, patchTenant, setTenantHubspotCompany, getDefaultTenantForCustomer, listByCustomerId, listTenantsByParentId, listHqTenants, getHqTenant, getHqTenantEmailSender, patchHqTenant, listMyHqTenantShortcuts, pinMyHqTenantShortcut, unpinMyHqTenantShortcut, recordMyHqTenantShortcutOpened and listTenantApplicationsForTenant. Their ordinary record administration belongs to the registered boundary owner; their access implications are retained in FND-PFM-TNL-034. The staff shortcut table is excluded on the same basis. No dedicated queue or scheduler declaration occurs within the registered lifecycle directories; waiting uses durable execution, and the shared reconciler’s infrastructure remains with its owning module.

## Verification changes

Each row identifies a correction against the original draft. Verification commits precede the separate planning-artifact wording commits; the final HQ access and cache corrections are retained explicitly below.

| Artifact or row | Change |
|---|---|
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-002-08 | statement: Activation enables always-available applications; failures in founding-staff access or development grants are logged without failing provisioning, while an error enabling applications can fail the activation task.; must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-005-04 | statement: During loading, customer-context requests reach data-job routes only; authorized staff on system routes remain admitted.; source: services-platform:modules/tenants/services/access/tenant-availability.ts:tenantAvailabilityOf; provenance: observed; enforced_at: ["api","service"] |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-005-06 | statement: Lifecycle facts are cached for at most thirty seconds per process; a lifecycle change invalidates the changing process’s entry, while other processes retain theirs until expiry. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-007-02 | statement: CRM refuses unknown operations and participants, missing run identities for writes, and batch sizes outside the supported range before running a participant. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-007-04 | statement: Declaration completeness tests require each workspace-keyed table to have exactly one participant and require declared tables to exist.; enforced_at: ["service"] |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-007-06 | statement: CRM describes reset support for its participants; Platform checks remote reset declarations before it empties the selected participants. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-007-07 | statement: Registering the same external resource twice returns its existing register row rather than creating a duplicate. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-007-08 | statement: Shared infrastructure is outside participant purges; the customer record is removed separately only when explicitly requested and no workspace remains.; must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-009-01 | statement: Staff initialize one participant for one existing workspace, applying defaults absent from its ledger; selecting seed sets is supported by local participants that implement initialization. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-009-02 | statement: Initialization accepts active or provisioning-failed workspaces and refuses loading, provisioning, deletion-pending and deleting workspaces, unknown participants and disabled participants. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-009-03 | statement: CRM reconciles its participants’ defaults on deployment for active, loading and provisioning-failed workspaces, regardless of business status. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-009-04 | statement: CRM baseline reconciliation gives an uncustomized older workspace the same seeded types and ledger entries as a newly provisioned workspace. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-010-04 | statement: CRM refuses an undeclared dataset or a staging prefix outside its own application area before reading export data. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-012-07 | statement: CRM reset removes domain records in batches, clears the relevant seed ledger entries and reapplies its defaults; other applications use their own reset classifications. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-011-06 | statement: While loading, ordinary customer routes refuse access; data-job routes and authorized staff system routes remain available.; source: services-platform:modules/tenants/services/access/tenant-availability.ts:tenantAvailabilityOf; provenance: observed |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-015-04 | statement: The schedule sends due notices and waits until the next due instant; a unique kind-and-date slot prevents duplicate notice records, but does not guarantee exactly-once delivery. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-016-01 | statement: The registered deletion HTTP routes provide no operation or force flag that begins destruction; the schedule invokes the destruction service.; source: services-platform:modules/tenants/aws/api/tenant-deletion-requests.routes.ts; must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-017-01 | statement: Before participant removal, the purge submits an authorizer-cache flush job and invalidates the local availability cache; it does not wait for the flush job to complete. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-017-03 | statement: Platform checks purge-job ownership and deleting state before each batch; CRM’s participant purge refuses a workspace that is not deleting, while protected purge functions also allow the documented loading-reset path. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-017-04 | statement: CRM removes protected history through guarded database functions; the application’s ordinary delete protections stay enabled. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-017-05 | statement: CRM suppresses change-event capture while purging workspace records. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-017-09 | statement: The purge inventories every planned participant except the workspace row; remaining counts repeat the purge until the third non-zero verification refuses completion. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-017-10 | statement: The Platform, CRM, Committees and Marketing purge fixtures leave the neighboring workspace’s rows unchanged. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-018-02 | statement: Deletion requests and notices have no foreign key to the workspace and retain its name, customer identity, actors, reasons and dates after removal.; source: services-platform:modules/tenants/db/tenant-deletion-requests.table.ts; provenance: observed |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-018-07 | statement: The product should refuse access to a restored workspace named in the deletion ledger until its deletion is reapplied. |
| SC-CAP-PFM-TNL-007-02 | Accounting negative control replaces unsupported Websites claim |
| JNY-PFM-TNL-003 | Narrow reset retention; correct loading staff exception |
| JNY-PFM-TNL-005 | Limit parity assertion to baseline configuration |
| ATS-PFM-TNL-005-04 | Add explicit staff loading test and correct expected result |
| ATS-PFM-TNL-016-01 | Schedule happy path cannot prove absence of other execution routes; remove binding |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-009-08 | New observed behavior; proof gap FND-PFM-TNL-027 |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-017-13 | New observed behavior; proof gap FND-PFM-TNL-028 |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-017-14 | New observed behavior; proof gap FND-PFM-TNL-032 |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-001-10 | must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-002-08 | must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-007-08 | must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-008-04 | must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-009-07 | must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-011-06 | must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-013-11 | must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-014-07 | must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-017-07 | must_prove: true |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-005-03 | Restrict the read-only staff rule to routes that invoke the workspace availability gate; retain HQ bypass disagreement as finding 034. |
| BR-CAP-PFM-TNL-005-06 | Replace universal immediate invalidation with lifecycle-workflow invalidation and ordinary-update cache expiry; use observed persistence evidence; finding 035. |
| JNY-PFM-TNL-004, step 7 | Use the actual HQ detail-read route as observed evidence, preserving the unresolved broader write policy. |
| CON-PFM-TNL-001 through 005; FEAT-PFM-TNL-006 | Add explicit approved-record intent citations without changing approval or intent values. |
| MOD-PFM-TNL | Correct registered paths; replace unsupported coverage counts with explicit inventories and source-only limitations. |
| ID_REGISTRY | Reserve three new rule rows and findings 024–035; correct actor allocation through 038. No identifier is renumbered or reused. |
| ACT-PFM-039 through 038 | Rewrite role descriptions and record the inferred grouping with source and rationale; preserve represented principals and surfaces. |
| MOD-PFM-TNL registry row | Set planning examined and name the pinned examination scope. |

## Final-text pass

Every planning artifact’s prose, rules, scenarios, facets, relationships, step expectations and acceptance descriptions receives OpenAI wording. Concepts retain five broad nouns and use six sections at the approved example’s depth. Capability count remains eighteen: no unrelated outcome requires a split, and no identifier is retired. Protected identifiers, source pins, bindings, provenance, origins, enforcement and intent fields are preserved except for the verification changes above.

## Unbound test inventory

These 64 files have no acceptance binding. A file may exercise delegated administration, implementation detail or lifecycle behavior; this examination does not count it as acceptance proof merely because it exists. Finding 033 keeps the inventory open for classification and additional scenarios.

## Open disagreements

All thirty-five findings remain visible for review; correcting a description does not resolve a policy disagreement or prove the missing scenario. The four existing open questions also remain undecided.

| Finding | Outstanding concern |
|---|---|
| `FND-PFM-TNL-001` | The registered milestone scope has no workspace-lifecycle milestone. Product authority instead comes from the approved lifecycle and HQ plans, baseline standard, reset contract and data-job plan; the module registry is corrected to those records. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-002` | The approved plan keeps several standing-order defaults in force without individual review, including the shorter unopened-workspace wait, security-audit removal, backup expiry, internal-only notices and deliberate rather than automatic deletion. Andrew’s individual review remains open. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-003` | Immediate deletion returns Method Not Allowed while the plan and console contract specify Gone. The retained debt record explains that response mismatch. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-004` | The access gate does not consult the external deletion ledger. A restored active workspace can therefore admit customer requests until staff reapply its recorded deletion; the approved restore safeguard has no passing implementation scenario. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-005` | Loading has an allowed transition to pending deletion, but deletion requests accept only active or provisioning-failed lifecycle and require disabled status. Loading requires implementation status, leaving that direct exit unavailable through the request service. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-006` | Operational eligibility differs by purpose: Platform background enumeration requires active and non-disabled, CRM baseline selection includes active, loading and failed regardless of status, and staff initialization excludes loading. These definitions need an explicit product explanation. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-007` | The baseline standard requires deployment reconciliation across applications, but Platform’s local defaults still reach existing workspaces through staff initialization rather than a deployment pass. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-008` | Platform’s remote descriptions have outdated seed or resource metadata for CRM, Committees, Membership and Marketing. The plan comparison checks participant order rather than the complete declarations, so matching order does not resolve that drift. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-009` | Websites registers content and changes participants while Platform retains only disabled content. Its change records and templates are absent from the orchestration plan and its inventory, limiting the deletion-completion claim. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-010` | Committees reset removes its records without restoring starter configuration, whereas the reset contract describes restoring defaults. The contract also names fewer emptied applications than the current Platform reset classification. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-011` | The lifecycle plan’s original two-role CRM baseline predates the later entities, tasks, activities and duplicate seed sets. The participant baseline now follows the later configuration standard. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-012` | A partial unique index and refusal translation enforce one open provisioning job per workspace, but no cited test demonstrates that conflict path. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-013` | Activation establishes application, staff-access and development-fixture records beyond the lifecycle plan’s description. The staff-access choice has HQ authority, while the differing activation failure handling needs explicit documentation. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-014` | An absent staff notice list blocks notice processing and therefore destruction, but the current bindings do not exercise that missing-configuration refusal end to end. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-015` | Restore reapplication, long-disabled review and the orphan report lack cited automated tests. Restore recovery is particularly weak because the access gate still omits the ledger safeguard. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-016` | The orphan report inspects request and job candidates using Platform participant inventories. It does not enumerate all application tables or file stores described by the plan’s wider orphan-report requirement. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-017` | The plan describes parallel work for independent participants, while the implemented provisioning workflow runs sequentially. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-018` | The lifecycle plan’s old creation and deletion permission vocabulary differs from the current HQ provisioning and reading keys. The route declarations provide the current authority boundary. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-019` | Reset does not inspect revision-source history to establish that only import-engine sessions wrote during loading. The approved safeguard remains absent and a reset can remove other selected writes. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-020` | The registry supplies no console source scope for this module. HQ records describe provisioning surfaces and defer deletion screens, but implementation of those screens is not verified from console code here; ownership remains an open module question. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-021` | The route review establishes permission-key checks rather than the complete built-in-role distribution. Assigning hold, release, request and cancellation to named staff roles remains dependent on the security module’s records. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-022` | Existing test bindings establish source-level evidence rather than a service-suite execution result. This examination runs corpus checks and tests, not the eight application suites. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-023` | The reset confirmation repeats the workspace identifier while deletion confirmation repeats its name. The records explain each choice separately, but the shared selection safeguard is inconsistent. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-024` | The draft restricts staff to import routes during loading, but Platform admits authorized staff system routes before applying the loading check. The access rules and loading assertion are corrected to preserve that exception. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-025` | Input validation differs between applications. CRM validates run identities and batch bounds; Committees and Marketing default a missing run to an empty value and pass batch sizes through. Membership has a separate contract. A CRM test cannot establish a uniform refusal across all services. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-026` | Websites declares CMS documents and media as resources without a purge, but its content participant returns an empty inventory and successful table purge. Enabling the participant alone would still leave CMS content outside deletion verification. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-027` | Platform forwards remote initialization as provisioning and drops the selected seed sets. Local initialization can filter sets; a remote request applies the participant’s provisioning defaults. No binding proves remote selection. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-028` | Participant removal commits before Platform records the returned removal counts. A lost response or failed count write can leave removed records absent from the totals; the draft’s implied atomic accounting is unsupported. Zero inventory is separate evidence. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-029` | Deletion notices are sent before their delivery state is persisted. A process failure after sending can repeat delivery on retry. Unique notice slots prevent duplicate records rather than exactly-once messages; no crash-window acceptance binding exists. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-030` | Several acceptance bindings prove a fixture outcome rather than the full cross-service claim. Scope is narrowed for CRM validation, baseline parity and change-event suppression; backend bindings do not prove the HQ screens or a deployed deletion across every application. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-031` | The original actor ledger stops at six even though this module adds four actors after the existing thirty-four. The ledger now records the actual allocation through thirty-eight. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-032` | Committees clears committee parents, meeting self-references and references to decisions before batched deletion. Those writes affect surviving records during a partial purge and need explicit proof of workspace isolation and retry behavior. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-033` | Sixty-four of the one hundred twenty-nine in-scope test files have no acceptance binding. The examination report names each file; their existence does not establish acceptance coverage or execution results. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-034` | Availability gating applies to workspace-scoped routes. HQ workspace routes name a general record identifier and call persistence directly; ordinary field updates have no deleting-state refusal there. The draft’s universal prohibition on staff writes is narrowed to gated routes, leaving the broader policy unresolved. |
| `FND-PFM-TNL-035` | Ordinary workspace updates invalidate the time-zone cache but not the availability cache. A business-status change can retain the changing process’s previous availability until its thirty-second entry expires; immediate invalidation is established for lifecycle workflows only. |

Open questions are OQ-PFM-TNL-001 (screen ownership), OQ-PFM-TNL-002 (operational eligibility), OQ-PFM-TNL-003 (abandoned-load removal) and OQ-PFM-TNL-004 (participant export ownership), whose full choices and recommendations remain in the findings artifact.

## Validation

The required npm installation, corpus conformance check and corpus test suite pass. This validates the corpus tooling and structure; it does not substitute for running the bound service suites or inspecting unavailable console components.

## Verdict for Andrew

The examined layer provides a sourced description of the module at the pinned commits within its declared boundaries, with unsupported universal claims narrowed and unresolved disagreements recorded. Its weakest evidence concerns complete removal across every application, restored-workspace access and console behavior. Before design starts, Andrew should resolve the policy questions and prioritize the Websites resource gap, restore safeguard and missing cross-service acceptance proof.
