Seats Service Module
What This Service Is For
The seats service maintains persistent places and their reservations, effective intervals and standing. Occupancy and succession are derived from appointments rather than stored as seat holders.
Boundary
Bodies own seat-management policy and appointments own bookings. Roster conversion currently writes body and appointment fields directly, an exception requiring architectural review.
Operations in Words
Seat operations create, inspect and correct places, retire or suspend them, restore them and delete only unreferenced places. Conversion builds places from eligible dated service when none exist.
Events and Jobs
Seat-change publication accompanies mutations, including deletion and scheduled retirement. The appointments-owned daily pass invokes the due-retirement function.
Consistency Guarantees
Ordinary staff seat changes use the committee lock and version checks where required. Dates govern retirement reads before the schedule catches up, and required event or enabled attention failures abort the transaction.
