Audience Exclusions Resolve One Level of Contacts
Context
Audiences can reference other audiences as exclusions. The current calculation needs a bounded interpretation that does not recurse through those references.
Decision
Resolve source contacts once and subtract them from the enclosing audience. Apply the exclusion audience’s fixed values, but skip its gate and additional exclusions.
Alternatives Considered
Full recursion changes the meaning and creates cycles. Save-time cycle rejection is not required by the current one-level implementation.
Consequences
The rule is computationally bounded and avoids recursive loops. Asked values and the desired product meaning of exclusion membership still deserve explicit confirmation.
