Security Planning Examination
Examination Status
The continuation completes the remaining OpenAI text pass and records unresolved product and proof issues as findings. The module retains draft maturity: Andrew’s approval is still required. No source commit or permanent identifier is changed, and this job leaves publication to the fleet without pushing.
Both planning briefs are available in this checkout and were read with the authoring contract, templates, approved Entities examples and previous report. Source verification reads pinned Git objects within the registered module scope and cited records. Backend and browser tests are inspected as evidence; application suites and deployed cache timing were not executed during this documentation job.
Continuation (pass 2)
This pass verifies and rewrites CAP-PFM-SEC-002 through CAP-PFM-SEC-020 with their corresponding ATS-PFM-SEC-002 through ATS-PFM-SEC-020, committing each pair separately. It then examines and rewrites JNY-PFM-SEC-001 through JNY-PFM-SEC-005, MODULE.md, FINDINGS.md and ID_REGISTRY.md. Evidence summaries are authored from the retained structured citations, and the five journeys receive rewritten goals, steps, alternate and failure paths, assertions and browser-proof explanations.
The previous pass already supplied final OpenAI text for CAP-PFM-SEC-001, ATS-PFM-SEC-001, all six concepts, all six features and the six security actor rows. This continuation reviews the concept and feature grain, expands User Account to include access-definition and grant facets, supersedes CON-PFM-SEC-004 through CON-PFM-SEC-006, and updates their consumers while preserving all allocated identifiers. The consolidated active concept retains the six required sections and the required depth; the retained concept bodies continue to carry the earlier OpenAI wording.
No artifact remains on the previous report’s unrewritten list. The earlier source and intent issues are corrected where the pinned evidence settles them; unresolved behavior and approval questions remain in the findings below. Inventory verification independently covers selected permission groups, asynchronous declarations and browser files that were still open after pass one.
Counts and Method
| Item | Current count | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Module artifacts excluding this report | 60 | Six features, six retained concept files, twenty capabilities, twenty acceptance sets, five journeys and three charter or ledger files |
| Actor document | 1 | Six security actor rows received final text in pass one |
| Active broad concepts | 3 | Customer, Workspace and User Account |
| Superseded concept records | 3 | Role, Role Grant and Staff Access Grant remain reserved |
| Active concept facets | 50 | The consolidated account includes access-definition and grant facets |
| Facets including retained superseded records | 73 | Retired records preserve their earlier structure |
| Business rule rows | 247 | Includes the newly allocated authentication-stamp rule |
| Illustrative capability scenarios | 33 | Corrects the previous report’s count of 35; no scenario was removed |
| Acceptance scenarios | 213 | The starting corpus contained 212, rather than the previous report’s 210; this pass adds one |
| Journey steps and assertions | 25 and 15 | All receive final wording in this continuation |
| Structured source-bearing references | 1,562 | Current source, origin, intent and test-binding strings across planning artifacts |
| Unique pinned source files in that audit | 193 | All resolve at the pinned revisions |
| Missing pinned file references | 0 | Annotated headings and composite references require semantic interpretation |
| Module artifacts and actor document with final OpenAI text | 61 | Completed across both passes, excluding this newly authored report |
| Finding and question identifiers | 36 and 3 | Resolved examination findings remain retained; product questions remain open |
The reference audit counts fields, rather than treating evidence-summary paragraphs as individual citations. Literal anchor lookup found 1,402 occurrences; other references include symbols, annotated decision headings or documentary qualifications. A mechanically present file or anchor does not establish the whole statement: manual inspection distinguishes fixture behavior, real service checks, UI mocks and proposed product requirements.
Every must-prove row has an acceptance scenario or a retained finding. The three rows without a scenario are customer deletion safeguards, retirement recovery audit and the unfinished automatic-assignment editor; their homes are FND-PFM-SEC-003, FND-PFM-SEC-011 and FND-PFM-SEC-008 respectively. Existing bindings provide evidence only for the assertions described in their rewritten scenarios.
Coverage Inventory
“Mapped” identifies a capability or finding home. It does not certify every constraint, compensation path or deployed outcome. The charter names individual operation, table, permission, backend test, browser test and asynchronous resource mappings.
| Inventory | Mapped / Total | Independent result | Remaining issue or named home |
|---|---|---|---|
| Declared operation identifiers, excluding health | 146 / 146 | Unique names extracted from the three modules’ route declarations | Detailed behavioral limits remain in the capability acceptance sets and findings |
| Table declarations | 50 / 50 | File count agrees with the charter mapping | Mapping alone does not certify every trigger and write; added authentication stamping is explicit in CAP-PFM-SEC-007 |
| Selected published permissions | 52 / 52 | 31 Platform keys and 21 HQ keys independently counted from the selected published groups | Unused keys remain in FND-PFM-SEC-005; eligibility and licensing dependency keys are separate |
| Backend end-to-end files | 37 / 37 | Independent file count agrees with the mapping | HQ invitation and lifecycle proof remains incomplete in FND-PFM-SEC-019 |
| State-machine declarations | 7 / 7 | Provisioning, reset, retirement schedule, purge, portal setup, derived reconciliation and authorizer flush located | Cache eviction and asynchronous recovery limits remain in FND-PFM-SEC-012, -020 and -036 |
| Primary work queues and schedules | 5 / 5 | Two work queues and three schedules; the previous count omitted the derived dispatcher schedule | Pool removal maps to CAP-PFM-SEC-009; derived dispatch and nightly scheduling map to CAP-PFM-SEC-014 |
| Dead-letter companion queues | 2 / 2 | Both companion declarations located | Retry exhaustion, redrive, batch failure and dispatcher recovery remain FND-PFM-SEC-036 |
| Console pages | 32 / 32 | Thirteen Security, ten authentication and nine HQ pages | Principal and retirement screens are absent by name in FND-PFM-SEC-014 |
| Registered browser specification files | 32 / 32 | Six Security, ten dev, six controlled and ten mock files independently counted | Real-service cross-screen proof must remain distinct from mock controls and backend tests |
Verification Changes
| Artifact | Continuation correction or qualification |
|---|---|
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-002 | Accept UTC alongside recognized location zones. Mark omitted commercial-field clearing unknown because tests inspect an obsolete property; remove its insufficient bindings. Describe the thirty-second local availability cache and explicit invalidation rather than global immediate propagation. Narrow HQ editor proof to name editing and disable confirmation. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-003 | Verify identifier and sender validation, source inherited commercial references from the actual resolver, and remove unsupported job enforcement. Distinguish import and activation permissions without requiring different people. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-004 | Verify retirement preconditions, calendar calculation, notice and hold behavior, and the locked transition into purge. Remove job enforcement where service code is the enforcer. Recovery audit remains a proposal. Remove the confirming origin from the calculation bundled with unreviewed defaults and set capability intent to proposed. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-005 | Limit successful accepted-link replay to active membership, preserve the founding Google exception, distinguish password setup from the transactional database acceptance and narrow refusal-audit claims to identifiable invitations. Rewrite the remaining example fields. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-006 | Distinguish in-memory access from persistent token storage, limit sign-out navigation claims, qualify fresh membership lookup against cached authorization and correct recovery refusal-status expectations. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-007 | State that the access document returns active and pending assignments rather than all revoked history. Correct its source to getAccessDocument. Allocate rule 13 and acceptance scenario 13 for rate-limited, best-effort authentication stamping, including job exclusion and failure behavior. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-008 | Verify invitation persistence, delivery, resend and reinvitation paths; explain delivery failure after committed records without claiming rollback. Preserve source and authority values where inspection agrees. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-009 | Distinguish committed membership changes from later pool failures and queued work. Qualify cache-flush submission. Source reinstatement and administrator-lockout behavior from the actual services, including the zero-administrator premise. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-010 | Include validity-window identity in duplicate assignment semantics. Verify supported custom-record scope and describe scope reconciliation, withdrawal and flush submission without eviction guarantees. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-011 | Source the broad audit obligation from its product record and narrow observed refusal audit to the audited administrative path. Preserve the distinction between returned person counts and stored assignment counts. Remove confirmation of the unreviewed purge default and set capability intent to proposed. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-012 | Describe a saved empty role as active with no grant, rather than a separate draft status. Verify supported conditions, binding ownership, dependency refusal and archive behavior. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-013 | Correct the blanket no-new-grant claim: a new tier key can reach existing role holders through shared generated policies, while a new standalone declared policy initially has no holder. Limit the Administrator statement to customer roles. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-014 | Distinguish request-time enforcement of stored expiry from changed-contact claims requiring fresh evaluation. Scope sign-in reconciliation to portal password sign-in and verify nightly service enforcement. Remove the proposed milestone as a confirming origin and retain incomplete editor and subject-model findings. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-015 | Verify caller boundaries, registry validation, signed-context limits and service-function declarations. Normalize annotated documentary paths. Change cache acceptance from guaranteed persistence until expiry to possible persistence within the bound; local flush-workflow evidence does not measure deployed eviction. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-016 | Distinguish pool-side effects from committed membership work. Verify staff definitions against release reconciliation and qualify the deliberately partial integration catalog. Describe mock lifecycle outcomes as UI evidence. Remove job enforcement from founding reconciliation. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-017 | Qualify fresh evaluation, stored expiry and cached authority throughout the grant lifecycle. Remove job enforcement from standing reconciliation, preserve the HQ customer-create gap and narrow acceptance claims about cleared caches. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-018 | Normalize service-call documentary references, remove job enforcement from activation reconciliation and restrict the propagation claim to receiving services using the registry reader. Separate local status enforcement from deployed cache measurement. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-019 | Verify portal provisioning, confirmation, neutral identity refusals, recovery and caller-token sign-out. Preserve the earlier availability-gate qualification and proposed response-status correction. |
| CAP/ATS-PFM-SEC-020 | Verify selection, sealed candidates, rate-limited challenges, digest storage, contact creation and missing-CRM behavior. Preserve the contact-claim decision only for fresh signed claims and qualify gateway propagation. |
| JNY-PFM-SEC-001 | Remove different-person activation and unproven combined notification/retry assertions. Identify mock navigation and backend job-state evidence separately. |
| JNY-PFM-SEC-002 | Limit the bound acceptance step to its tested password path and the action-visibility assertion to the tested role difference. |
| JNY-PFM-SEC-003 | Separate profile persistence, role grantor display and sign-in deactivation proof; remove immediate shutdown of every cached request. |
| JNY-PFM-SEC-004 | Separate role-list, policy-usage, saved-edit and archive assertions so one binding does not claim proof of adjacent behavior. |
| JNY-PFM-SEC-005 | Qualify revocation as fresh-context loss of reach, identify mock banner evidence and stop using a successful emergency-dialog mock as proof of Support’s backend refusal. |
| CON-PFM-SEC-003 | Consolidate access-definition, role-assignment and staff-entry facets into the broad account concept; keep its six-section product explanation. |
| CON-PFM-SEC-004, -005, -006 | Retain permanent files and identifiers with superseded status and explanatory pointers to User Account. |
| Other concepts and all features | Retain pass-one final text, update references and keep each active concept in one owning feature. Features remain grouping-only. |
| MODULE.md | Rewrite ownership, screen descriptions and charter prose; regenerate titles and intent tables; add independent permission, asynchronous and browser mappings with proof qualifications. |
| ID_REGISTRY.md | Reserve the new rule, acceptance scenario and findings before authoring; update titles and retain superseded concept numbers. |
| FINDINGS.md | Rewrite all 36 finding descriptions and three questions; resolve brief availability and text/grain inventory tasks, retain product and proof issues, and repair the affected-id metadata for finding 035. |
Pass one’s corrections remain in force, including the customer current-field proof gap, service-level locks, missing HQ standing reconciliation, supported conditions and the contact-claim origin limits. No artifact receives approved status from observation. A concept consolidation initially produced duplicate feature ownership; the next checked commit corrected the ownership, and final conformance reports zero errors.
Disagreements and Remaining Decisions
| Finding | Current disposition |
|---|---|
| FND-PFM-SEC-028 | Resolved: both briefs are available and examined |
| FND-PFM-SEC-029 | Resolved for corpus wording; implemented cache limits remain -012 and -020 |
| FND-PFM-SEC-030 | Corrected unrelated origins; detailed portal, eligibility and lifecycle decisions remain proposed where approval is absent |
| FND-PFM-SEC-031 | Resolved for remaining final text; passing corpus checks does not resolve other findings |
| FND-PFM-SEC-032 and -035 | Open: current-field readback tests must establish customer and workspace omitted-field clearing |
| FND-PFM-SEC-033 | Open: reconcile HQ and ordinary customer-creation standing-access side effects |
| FND-PFM-SEC-034 | Grain and inventory resolved; complete behavioral proof is qualified rather than inferred from counts |
| FND-PFM-SEC-036 | Open: explicit asynchronous retry, exhaustion, redrive and recovery acceptance coverage |
Earlier findings 001–027 remain retained with rewritten descriptions. Code settles current behavior where a product record differs, but cannot approve missing deletion safeguards, mutation contracts, unused permissions, operator screens, automatic-grant design, deferred MFA or unreviewed defaults. The three questions still require Andrew’s decision on lifecycle ownership, disabled-workspace authority and contact-versus-account derivation subjects.
Validation
The required acceptance command, npm ci && npm run check, completes with zero errors. npm test passes all four checker tests with no failures. Conformance is checked again after writing this report and before its final commit; these checks establish documentation consistency, while application and deployed behavior remain subject to the evidence limits above.
Verdict for Andrew
This layer now provides a sourced planning description with final OpenAI text, corrected proof claims and explicit unresolved findings at the pinned commits. Its weakest areas are current-field clearing tests, HQ standing-access creation, asynchronous recovery proof and detailed behavior without a confirming product decision. Before design begins, resolve the ownership and authority questions, review the proposed defaults and portal scope, and require the named missing acceptance evidence.
