Metadata Design Examination
Scope
The examination covers six domain objects, ten state models, fifteen workflows, five service contracts, eighteen screen contracts and sixteen decision records from the draft. It also adds one consumed inference operation for the record list and examines Metadata's ownership row and prose in Platform Responsibilities. The source repositories match the requested pinned commits; source examination is static and does not establish deployed configuration or execute source-repository integration suites.
Examination Findings
The design corrections remove invented lifecycle refusals, complete publication transitions, distinguish unversioned removal from versioned replacement, correct field-restoration eligibility, and replace a claimed registration serialization guarantee with its actual row-lock boundary. The examination changes an unsupported workflow test label to observed evidence, replaces the CRM cascade adapter anchor with the database implementation, and identifies synchronous in-process data-job hops. A new inference contract records the query-generation operation consumed by the custom-record list, including its model declaration, application validation, failure handling and existing smoke scenarios.
Counts and Coverage
The original seventy artifacts receive final OpenAI text; the added inference contract brings the design to seventy-one artifacts. Examination includes eighty-one invariants, forty-five lifecycle states, seventy-five transitions, sixty-nine workflow hops and ninety-five individually named operations. Evidence values remain pinned; implementation observations do not confer approval.
| Inventory | Coverage |
|---|---|
| HTTP operations, including health | 89 operations across five contracts; no declared HTTP operation is missing |
| Internal operations | One registration invocation and five database functions across the same contracts |
| Physical resources | 25 tables and one view represented by six domain objects |
| Screen surfaces | 18 contracts cover the examined configuration, record and relationship surfaces, including shared chooser routes and embedded cards |
| Lifecycle models | Ten models connect to the relevant registration, field, object, record, asset, delivery and relationship workflows |
| Business-event infrastructure | The database outbox, delivery queue and dead-letter outcome are described by the delivery workflow and state model; the minute dispatcher and nightly sweep have workflows |
| Other orchestration | Fifteen workflows cover the examined processes; data-job calls delegate orchestration to the shared engine, rather than introducing a module-owned state machine |
| Inference | One consumed task has one operation contract; the record-list screen references it and every service, workflow and screen declares its inference dependencies |
The live inference suites are examined as evidence, not executed. Their contact fixtures establish pipeline smoke coverage; they do not establish custom-record question quality. Screen coverage counts product surfaces rather than claiming that every configuration page in the broader console registry belongs to this module.
Changes by Artifact
| Artifacts | Verification change and final treatment |
|---|---|
| DOM-PFM-MTD-001 | Correct compatibility defaults for registered capabilities and separate the view name from explanatory text |
| DOM-PFM-MTD-002 | Limit eligibility enforcement to creation and replacement; retain definitions after eligibility changes; normalize the upload-table name |
| DOM-PFM-MTD-005 | Use the documented history contract for fail-closed attribution instead of treating a timeline test as proof |
| DOM-PFM-MTD-003, 004, 006 | Rewrite attributes, relationships, invariants and explanatory sections; distinguish ordinary relationship occupancy checks from merge-retained overlaps |
| STATE-PFM-MTD-001, WF-PFM-MTD-001 | Replace complete-manifest serialization with the observed invocation and row-lock boundary |
| STATE-PFM-MTD-002 | Correct restoration eligibility and distinguish its missing version and field-lock checks |
| STATE-PFM-MTD-006 | Include every publication-state pair; same-state publication writes are accepted without a business event |
| STATE-PFM-MTD-009 | Remove the invented no-op refusal and distinguish unversioned deletion |
| STATE-PFM-MTD-010 | Include already-ended creation and future-ended removal; distinguish optimistic version checks from removal |
| STATE-PFM-MTD-003, 004, 005, 007, 008 | Rewrite meanings, guards, effects, failures and explanatory sections; treat external destination availability as runtime configuration |
| WF-PFM-MTD-002 | Correct observed provenance and isolate the exact archival symbol; explain the post-commit rebuild inference separately |
| WF-PFM-MTD-005, 007, 008, 010 | Replace delivery deadlines with later successful execution; preserve the unresolved cleanup and replay boundaries |
| WF-PFM-MTD-006 | Describe changed-property patches and the separate ownership call |
| WF-PFM-MTD-008 | Anchor cascades to the SQL entry point and cite the later date-policy migration; replace adapter-only evidence |
| WF-PFM-MTD-012 | Identify engine calls as synchronous in-process seams |
| All fifteen workflows | Rewrite every hop action, failure, inconsistency, observer and explanatory section |
| All five service contracts | Rewrite purposes, boundaries and operation descriptions, including Submissions exclusion reasons |
| SVC-PFM-MTD-metadata | Distinguish definition commits from rule replacement and archival degradation |
| SVC-PFM-MTD-associations | Replace two combined merge-function labels with four individual operation names |
| All eighteen screen contracts | Rewrite descriptions, actions, states, validation and patterns; remove approval inferred from existing code and unsupported regeneration requirements |
| SCR-PFM-MTD-014, IOP-PFM-MTD-001 | Add the consumed generation task, including model responsibility, limits, validation, fallback, failures and four existing smoke cases |
| All sixteen decision records | Rewrite context, decision, alternatives, consequences and titles while retaining origins |
| ADR-PFM-MTD-008 | Scope event capture to mutations that actually emit events |
| ADR-PFM-MTD-014 | Downgrade design intent to proposed because current exclusion from Submissions does not establish product approval |
| Responsibilities and module registry | Enumerate the individual operations, make inference delegation explicit, rewrite Metadata's ownership prose and mark the module design examined |
| Findings and identifier registry | Allocate seven findings and the inference operation with four smoke identifiers; retain previous identifiers |
Source edits are confined to the eligibility invariant, history invariant, field-restoration transition, archival hop and SQL-cascade evidence. Exact source anchors lose embedded commentary; several evidence filenames lose stray spaces inserted inside hyphenated names. The report lists these verification changes separately from the per-artifact prose commits. All other identifiers, provenance, origins, permissions, enforcement locations, intent and pinned evidence values are retained unless the correction above explicitly changes them.
Open Disagreements
The supplied design brief is absent and planning artifacts retain draft status despite confirmed product origins. Application-wide registration concurrency, runtime event destination configuration, file cleanup, multi-call saves, draft-owner persistence and replay of destination-free events remain unresolved. Planning says reset removes relationship types, whereas the implemented reset and cited decision retain them; planning is left unchanged.
New findings are FND-PFM-MTD-056 through FND-PFM-MTD-062. They record registration interleaving, lifecycle discrepancies, the missing consumed inference contract, unsupported screen approval, the unavailable brief and planning approval evidence, incorrect workflow evidence, and runtime delivery uncertainty. Existing findings and open questions remain available for the outstanding product decisions.
Validation
Corpus conformance ran before each artifact commit. Final acceptance passed dependency installation, corpus conformance with zero errors, and all four repository tests. An exact-reference audit checked 268 explicit source and anchor entries across 93 distinct paths with no missing paths or unmatched anchors. These checks validate the specification corpus and its checker; they do not validate a deployed Platform environment.
Continuation (pass 2)
The testing continuation examines all nineteen capability test specifications, six feature suites and 140 executable suite registrations against the pinned source files, existing design obligations and coverage findings. Every capability specification has a complete ten-category map and categorized scenarios; every feature has its acceptance suite. All 252 scenario-to-suite bindings are reciprocal, and the declared service integration and end-to-end inventory has no unregistered file.
The previous testing report names checker defects, acceptance execution and the final commit as its remaining work. The upstream checker corrections are already present in this checkout, so the required tracked conformance command now passes. The continuation rewrites the testing report and this report's continuation and verdict, corrects the identifier allocation summary and writes a finding for four conflicting finding descriptions. Earlier OpenAI testing text remains the final text of the test artifacts; the prior report lists no artifact awaiting a prose rewrite.
Coverage findings retain all sixty-six category gaps, twenty-eight unbound capability scenarios, fourteen unbound feature scenarios and fifty-two unmapped suites. Earlier design disagreements remain in their existing findings and open questions. No capability rule, concept, journey or non-test design artifact changes in this pass, and no product intent or approval advances.
Dependency installation, corpus conformance with zero errors and all seven repository tests pass. The source audit checks 140 registered files and the direct capability test-title bindings at the pinned revisions. These checks examine the corpus and its references; the executable product suites remain unrun.
Verdict for Andrew
The earlier design examination and this testing continuation provide a source-pinned account with complete testing artifact inventories and a passing corpus gate. Composite saves, attachment disposal, event delivery and the recorded lifecycle, permission and executable coverage gaps remain the weakest proof boundaries. Resolve the product disagreements and conflicting finding descriptions, then implement and execute the missing proof before qualification.
